The operator places the product or products to be vacuum-sealed inside the chamber of the machine. This could be anything from food items like meat, vegetables, or cheese to electronic components or medical supplies.
Sealing
Once the chamber is loaded, the lid or door is closed securely, sealing the chamber. The machine then begins the vacuum and sealing process.
Vacuuming
The machine initiates a vacuum pump, which removes air from the chamber. As the air is evacuated, it creates a partial vacuum inside the chamber and around the product, extracting oxygen and reducing the atmospheric pressure.
Sealing Process
After a sufficient vacuum level is achieved, the machine seals the package using heat. A heating element or a heated bar melts the edges of the packaging material together, creating an airtight seal around the product. This prevents air from re-entering the package and preserves the contents.
Cooling and Release
Once the sealing process is complete, the machine may include a cooling cycle to ensure the seal is properly set and to prevent overheating of the package. After cooling, the chamber is opened, and the vacuum-sealed packages are removed for storage or distribution.
